Graduate School Director
UMR BPMP : Biochemistry and plant molecular physiology
B&PMP is defined as an Integrative Biology research department, focused on the mechanisms of plant responses and adaptation to variable abiotic environmental conditions. B&PMP is one of the 3 departments which compose the "Integrative Biology Institute for Plants" (IBIP).
CNRS, Inra, Montpellier SupAgro, UM2 SIVeM CB2S, SIBAGHE Jean-François Briat
FRE BIOM : Biologie intégrative des organismes marins (in French) CNRS
+ UPMC
Hervé Moreau
UMR BGPI : Biology and Genetics of Plant/Pathogen Interactions
In-depth knowledge of interactions between plants and their pathogens constitutes the foundation for rational control of invasion by and acclimatization of pathogens introduced from elsewhere. Modelling on a regional scale should make it possible to propose control strategies based on cropping practices and land use planning
Cirad, Inra, Montpellier SupAgro MEB SIBAGHE Philippe Rott
UMR AMAP : Botany and Computational Plant Architecture
Associating several disciplines—botany, ecology, applied mathematics and informatics—is a major technical and scientific challenge for modern agronomy and forestry. It enables the development of new applications and tools for identifying plants, managing crops, forests and the environment, and developing rural areas.
Cirad, CNRS, Inra, IRD,UM2 MEB I2S, SIBAGHE Pierre Couteron
UMR CBGP : Center for Biology for Management of Populations
To improve control strategies against pests and identify means of conserving threatened natural populations, it is vital to modify the constraints to which they are subject, and thus to analyse the constraints on each set of organisms, and how those organisms adapt to changes in the constraints.
Cirad, Inra, IRD, Montpellier SupAgro MEB SIBAGHE Flavie Vanlerberghe
UMR DGIMI : Diversité, génomes et interactions micro-organismes- insectes (in French)
DGMI gathers EMIP (UMR1133) and BIBI (UMR 1231)

UMR DIADE : Diversity and Adaptation of Plants (in French)
DIADE results from the reorganisation of DIA-PC (UMR 188) and LGDP (UMR 121) teams.
Cirad, IRD, UM2 - SIBAGHE Serge Hamon
UMR DMEM : Dynamique musculaire et métabolisme (in French) Inra, UM1, UM2 - CBS2, SPSA Arnaud Chatonnet
UMR 2EI : Ecology and Evolution of Interactions
Formerly : CBETM-Center for tropical and mediterranean biology and ecology
CNRS, UPVD E2 Guillaume Mitta
UMR MIVEGEC : Ecology, genetics, evolution and control of infectious diseases and vectors
MIVEGEC results from the merger of CCPV (UR 16) and GEMI (UMR 165) units. Its mission is to take an integrative approach to understanding the reproduction and transmission of infectious organisms, so as to improve the means of their control.
CNRS, IRD, UM1 - CBS2, SIBAGHE Didier Fontenille
UMR LEPSE : Ecophysioology Laboratory of Plants under Environmental Stress Inra, Montpellier SupAgro SIVeM SIBAGHE Bertrand Muller
TGU AGAP : Genetic Improvement and Adaptation of Tropical and Mediterranean Plants
Very Large Unit AGAP: Genetic Improvement and Adaptation of Tropical and Mediterranean Plants AGAP is a very large joint research unit and an applied plant biology and genetics platform of international importance. It results from the merger of several entities from joint research unit DAP (including UMR Inra, Cirad, Montpellier SupAgro, UM2) with teams from Inra (UMR DIAP-PC) and several Cirad units (AIVA, AGEMV, AGPH).

UR PSH : Horticultural Crops and Cropping Systems Inra Avignon SIVeM Michel Génard
UMR InterTryp : Host-Vector-Parasite Interactions in Infections by Trypanosomatidae
Trypanosomiases are still a major concern in sub-Saharan Africa. Human trypanosomiases are enjoying a resurgence, and 60 million people are at risk. Animal trypanosomiases, the main type of vector-borne diseases affecting animals, are still an obstacle to the development of animal production in the region. Insect and plant trypanosomiases also have a major impact on crops.
Cirad, IRD CBS2, SIBAGHE Gérard Cuny
UPR AMRBET : Pests and Diseases: Risk Analysis and Control
Formerly: Controlling Pests and Diseases in Tree Crops Research Unit” UPR Pests and diseases hamper the productivity and sustainability of most crops, and some also affect product quality.
Cirad - SIBAGHE Christian Cilas
UMR GDP : Plant genome and development laboratory
It is committed to research and training on plant genome organisation and gene regulation, particularly their role in plant development and adaptation to biotic and abiotic stress.
CNRS,UPVD SIVeM SIBAGHE Jean-Marc Deragon
UR AVI-PATHO : Plant Pathology Inra Avignon Cindy Morris
UMR RPB : Plant Resistance to Parasites Cirad, IRD, UM2 SIBAGHE Michel Nicole
UR LPF : The Proteomics Laboratory (in French) Inra SIVeM SIBAGHE Michel Rossignol
UMR LSTM : Tropical and Mediterranean Symbiosis Laboratory
The microorganisms, nitrogen-fixing bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi that live in symbiosis with plant species play a vital role in increasing and sustaining agricultural and forest production, but also in regenerating tropical and Mediterranean environments.
