UMR AMAP : Botany and Computational Plant Architecture
Associating several disciplines—botany, ecology, applied mathematics and informatics—is a major technical and scientific challenge for modern agronomy and forestry. It enables the development of new applications and tools for identifying plants, managing crops, forests and the environment, and developing rural areas.
Cirad, CNRS, Inra, IRD,UM2 MEB I2S, SIBAGHE Pierre Couteron
UMR CEFE : Center for Evolutionary and Functional Ecology
Biodiversity, ecological change on a global level, and sustainable development, in particular of Mediterranean and tropical ecosystems, are the central research topics for UMR CEFE.

UMR ESPACE-DEV : Space for development (in French)
ESPACE-DEV is made up of Unit ESPACE (UR 140) which includes researchers from Antilles-Guyane, Montpellier 2 and La Réunion Universities. It focuses on collecting and analysing remote sensing data.

ILEE I2S Frédéric Huynh
UMR TETIS : Spatial Information and Analysis for Territories and Ecosystems
The unit conducts research on spatial information and analysis methods for agroenvironmental and territorial systems, along four lines: analyses of the structures and spatiotemporal dynamics of those systems and of how they are perceived by stakeholders; spatialized data acquisition and processing (remote sensing, DTM, GPS, etc); information system design; territorial development and agroenvironmental management methods and the role of information systems.
