EURAXESS Services Centre of Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon

Information and services for Guest Researchers and their hosting team

Set up by the European Commission in 2004, the Mobility Centres (renamed Euraxess Services Centres in 2008) are labelised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. The Euraxess Languedoc-Roussillon center, managed by Agropolis International, offers numerous services.

Mission and public

The EURAXESS Services Centre of Montpellier Languedoc Roussillon assists mobile researchers and their family in every step of their move; it is dedicated to PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, visiting researchers and professors hosted in higher education and research institutions.

  • ” Welcome package” for the newly arrived guests containing useful information about the town, department and region, cultural events, associations...
  • Application to “Guest- researcher” membership with an access to many advantages (Fondation Kastler partnership)
  • Assistance with formalities related to visa, "convention d'accueil", scientist residence permit
  • Assistance with administrative formalities related to insurance, bank, subsidies,...
  • Information on accommodation
  • Assistance in finding schools for the scientist’s children and pre-enrolment
  • French classes
  • Information on cultural events: cultural calendar, special visits and tours, invitations, Pass'Culture….
